Goldenteak Warranty Summary
Goldenteak is very confident in the quality of their teak products. Your furniture comes with a limited warranty against manufacturer's defects. Standard warranty periods for each category of furniture are provided below.
5 Year warranty on teak components
1 year warranty for commercial applications
1 year warranty for cushions, slings and pillows
1 year warranty on brass or stainless steel fixtures, joinery or moving parts.

Galtech Umbrella Frames, Covers, Stands Warranty (Non Returnable)
Galtech Market Umbrellas and stands are warranted for the period of 1 year from the original date of consumer purchase. All Autotilt Market Umbrellas feature a premium 2 year frame warranty.
Verification of the date of consumer purchase is required for product to qualify for Galtech's warranty.
Galtech International warrants that these products shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal and reasonable use and proper assembly as follows:

Warping and splitting or rotting of wood and frame parts

What is not covered:
DAMAGE CAUSED BY WIND CONDITIONS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Damage indicative of wind, including broken ribs and bent aluminum poles is not covered. Replacement of warranty items will be determined upon factory discretion.
Covers are warranted against loss of color or strength under normal exposure conditions for the following durations: Sunbrella- 3 years/ Suncrylic: 1year / Premium Olefin: 1 year/ Thatch: 1 year.
Goldenteak.com 5 Year Warranty on Teak Furniture.
Goldenteak.com warrants the products to be free of defects in the material and workmanship for the period of 5 Years to the original owner. This warranty is not transferable.
"Defects" as used in this warranty is defined as - imperfections which impair the utility of the product or affect the structural integrity of the product. Upon receipt of the product the customer must inspect components thoroughly prior to assembly, and any defects which impair the utility of the product should be noted and reported no later than within seven days of receipt. The warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear of teak furniture or to checking (fine cracks that appear on surface of teak wood or ends, once product is exposed to the elements). Checking is completely normal and does not impair the utility of the product. Natural wood products can have color and grain variations, and are not considered a "defect" under warranty.
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligent use, negligence during assembly, unauthorized repairs, unauthorized parts, damage caused by customer's own umbrellas, infestation, fire, negligence, hurricanes, tornados, floods, typhoons, cyclones, wind damage and other acts of God. This warranty does not cover breakage of brass components beyond the period of 1 year, after which such breakage will be considered normal wear and tear. This warranty does not cover normal tarnishing of metal (for eg. brass) used in hinges, mechanisms etc. This warranty does not apply to our teak and sling products, or our teak and stainless steel products. Clearance and Final Sale items are provided As Is with no warranty or returns.
Customer must provide photographs of the defect to Goldenteak (at customers expense) so that Goldenteak can determine the extent of the defect and its most efficient resolution.
The Warranty is limited to replacement of the parts of the furniture that show a defect. For the first year after purchase, Goldenteak will ship replacement parts at no charge.
If the furniture component is deemed defective within the terms of the Warranty, Goldenteak.com will furnish a repaired or replacement component at no cost to the consumer for the first year after purchase, and charge actual shipping costs for the component after the first year and through the fifth year after purchase. In event of part replacement or repair, no assembly waiver is included.
This warranty does not cover shipping damage. Shipping damage must be reported immediately upon receipt directly to Goldenteak.com. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org about shipping damage immediately upon receipt of damaged merchandise. Please save all cartons. If customer signs the shipping company delivery receipt "received in good condition", or does not report shipping damage directly to Goldenteak within 48 hours of receipt, no shipping damage claim will be honored by Goldenteak.
This warranty applies to conditions of normal residential use, but does not apply to intentional damage, negligence, excessive wear and tear, or unreasonable use. Chair Glides are recommended for rough surfaces. It is the consumers responsibility to periodically inspect Furniture Components, including hardware ( like bolts, hinges or other mechanisms) and wood, for missing hardware or defects.
The terms of this warranty may change without notice, but will not be changed in a way that eliminates your original warranty.
WARRANTY ON Goldenteak UMBRELLAS.
Umbrellas are warranted for 90 days from date of purchase- limited to the crank mechanism only. No warranty is provided for fabric fading, fabric rips, broken poles or broken spokes. The crank mechanism is consider under warranty if there is no incidence of broken spokes, rips in the fabric, or a broken pole at the same time the crank mechanism fails. Rips in fabric, broken poles, broken spokes most often occur when umbrellas are left open in high winds or other inappropriate conditions of negligent use, and failures of the crank mechanism or any part of the umbrella are not covered under such or similar circumstances. The umbrella must be returned to Goldenteak.com for either a repair or replacement under this warranty, as determined by Goldenteak.com.
TEAK & SLING FABRIC PRODUCTS.
Teak and Sling Fabric products are warranted for 1 year from the date of purchase to the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use, failure caused by neglect of reasonable and necessary care and maintenance, normal fading of fabrics or upholstery materials or damage from acts of Nature.
STAINLESS STEEL PRODUCTS
Our Teak and Stainless Steel or Teak, Sling and Stainless Steel products are warranted for 3 years from the date of purchase to the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use, failure caused by neglect of reasonable and necessary care and maintenance, slight staining of the stainless steel from acidity or salt in the atmosphere, normal fading of fabrics or upholstery materials or damage from acts of Nature.
PURCHASES MADE BEFORE MAY 1, 2006.
Goldenteak's warranty for purchases made prior to May 1, 2006, was a 1 year parts and labor, 5 years parts warranty. Goldenteak will provide replacement parts (or equivalent) for parts that show a defect provided that the item was in normal residential use, and does not apply to intentional damage, negligence, excessive wear and tear, or unreasonable use. In event of piece replacement or repair, no assembly waiver is included.

Using Outdoor Cushions on Teak
Before placing any cushions on furniture, remove any dust or dirt by wiping the furniture with a damp cloth. Your premium teak furniture has been fine sanded and there may be some fine residue even after cleaning during manufacture.
Your teak furniture naturally contains oil. Expect some of the natural teak oil transfer to the light color cushions. In order to protect your cushions, bring them in when you are expecting rain, or when the furniture is wet. Once the furniture has started weathering (changing color) it is no longer necessary to remove the cushions.
If you Teak Oil your furniture, please make sure the Teak Oil is completely dry before placing your cushions on the furniture.
If your cushion gets some marks or discoloring due to saw dust or teak's natural oil as described above, the dirt and discoloration can be removed by light scrubbing with a sponge with dishwashing liquid(like Dawn) and then hosing off the surface. If stronger measures are needed, one may use a paste of dishwashing liquid and Oxyclean. You can remove the any stains while the covers are on the cushion. If you wish to remove the covers to clean in a washer, you can do that – but please air dry them rather than put them in a drier.
