The Table tops are 1.25 inch thick (30mm). For extension tables they have an apron underneath, that holds the slides for the extension.
How is the extension stored?
The extension is a "butterfly" type extension, and folds and slides under the table top when not in use. The whole tabletop including the extension is pre assembled so now work is required by the consumer.
Is assembly required?
Yes - Assembly is required. The tables come with the legs and center brace (between the legs) separate from the top. The legs need to be attached to the top. We recommend doing the assembly when the table is upside down in the box, and then getting some help to rotate it right side up. Help is needed for all tables, but especially the large extension tables that can be as heavy as 170lbs +. Be very careful when rotating the heavy tables.

03/01/16 - Thank you for the teak oil recommendation. My husband had
been thinking about it - your recommendation pushed us to do it and we did
yesterday. Attached are a couple of finished product pictures - also a
picture of two chairs side by side with one oiled and one waiting to be
oiled - what a difference!!!!!!!! Thanks again for a fantastic table,

02/27/16 - Last week our expansion table with 4 Tisbury stackable arm
chairs and cushions (brown with cream piping) were delivered from our
shipper. We absolutely love it all! Assembly of the chairs and table was
easy (it took me longer to cut up all the boxes than it took for my husband
to put everything together!) The table expands very smoothly. The cushions
were custom with cream piping on the brown cushion and it just really adds
so much to the appearance of the cushions. Shipment from MA was quicker
than we originally expected which was fantastic since we still had to wait
the time it took for everything to come on the ship and then clear customs.

Hi,
I love the table. It is the perfect size for my porch. The extension opens and closes easily. To assemble, I only had to put the legs on which was very easy. On 1-5, I rate it a five. Sturdy and well made but not too heavy for me to move by myself. The delivery was as expected. The driver professional and helpful. The only problem was that the table was left attached to the wooden pallet. This made it a little harder to deal with and I still have to dispose of the pallet.
I like the quality of the table so much that I am now looking at other pieces for my porch.
I love the table! It’s perfect. It is outside on a balcony in Miami and has completely changed my use of the balcony! PS: I used a teak oil to finish/preserve it because the weather is pretty harsh on furniture here. AM. Products Teak Round Extension Table (103)
