Goldenteak is pleased to announce Subsidized Shipping. Subsidized shipping implies that we cover the major cost of shipping, while charging you the consumer a small shipping charge based on your location, and distance from our warehouse in Massachusetts. Subsidized shipping saves you money, because normal shipping charges range from 12 - 28% of product cost (especially with rising fuel prices). From time to time we may introduce a free shipping promotion as well. Goldenteak had been offering Free Shipping to all regions in the contiguous USA, but had to change that starting May 25th. because of rising fuel prices and fuel surcharges. We hope that fuel prices will decrease and we can reinstate the "Shipping included" policy.

TO ESTIMATE YOUR SHIPPING COSTS you just multiply your order total by the percentage in the table above. For eg. if you live in Illinois and purchased $1000 (one Thousand) worth of teak patio furniture, your total shipping charge would be $30. If you were in CA, it would be $70. Not bad at all. Cheaper than spending a whole day going from store to store.

Certain items like Dining Tables, Sun Loungers and some others have a special shipping charge if they are ordered by themselves. Unless otherwise specified shipping charges for Dining Tables are at least $140, unless they are ordered with a specified number of chairs. The same is true for extra long or awkward items like Sun Loungers (by themselves) etc. THESE SHIPPING CHARGES WILL NOT SHOW UP IN YOUR INVOICE, BUT WE WILL CONTACT YOU, PRIOR TO SHIPMENT, TO VERIFY THAT YOU ACCEPT THESE EXTRA CHARGES.

If we ship a Dining Table (whose box dimensions are 60 - 100" Long X 40 - 55"W X 8 - 10"D) by itself, it requires that we use special bracing to protect it during shipment. We cannot ship it horizontal, since the carriers then put other loads on top of it, causing damage. So it has to be shipped vertical with braces holding it up. Carriers then charge for shipping by volume because they have a large cubic area with no paying load.

However, if you purchase sufficient other items with this table (eg. chairs), we use the chair boxes to brace the table in its vertical postion. This protects the table and wastes less space for the carriers.
