The Teak Protector is a water-based formula that is non-flammable, solvent free and safe around the home. It maintains the original, golden-brown color of teak and is fast and easy to use. It lasts up to four times longer than teak oil, and, unlike teak oil, is not greasy so does not stain clothing. Our Protector prevents black spots common to oils and guards against mildew. With superior penetration, the Teak Protector gives longer protection against discoloration. The Protector comes with an application cloth. All Golden Care products are environmentally and animal safe.

It depends on Sun Exposure - but on average the product will protect the surface from bleaching (protect against UV rays) for about 6 months to a year for the first application and the protection can be longer for following applications as long as the next application was applied before the previous one had worn away.
